In a village in Indonesia, The remains of the deceased was reopened by the people for a ritual.

This is done by the people in a village in Toraja, South Sulawesi. According to them, the ritual gives way for them to remember their deceased relatives. They clothed them again, replace the broken coffin and bring to the place that they call  Ma'nene or The Ceremony of Cleaning Corpses.

Based on their beliefs, The souls of the dead are returning where they live. They also said that the ritual takes months or even a year to give all the relatives time to see it again.
