Liza Soberano is officially the new Darna!

The Kapamilya star on Tuesday confirmed that she is accepting the role of “Darna” in a film adaptation to be directed by Erik Matti.

“Yes, it's confirmed. Tinatanggap ko na po ang role na Darna,” Liza said when interviewed.

The 19-year-old actress is known for her previous romantic teleseryes “Got to Believe,” “Forevermore” and “Dolce Amore.”

She and her onscreen partner Enrique Gil, whose love team is known as “LizQuen” are also among the leading love teams today.

Soberano succeeds Marian Rivera, who portray the role in 2009 and Angel Locsin in 2005.
