September 01, 2013. An undetermined climate has been observed. A precious time to thank God for the blessings received for the past months of this year, 2013. A few months after this month, we will enter a new chapter of our life, a new year to make a living in order to survive.
As months goes by, we experience a lot of problems that merely changes our lives for some times. Let us take for example the month of August of this year. Typhoon Labuyo and Typhoon Maring consecutively hit the country during the month of August. More Filipinos have lost their lives, lost their agricultural living, lost their home, more of them remain helpless and they even lost their hope. Another tragedy was the collision of Philippines ferry Thomas Aquinas with a cargo ship last August 16. A lot of passengers were injured, some survived but were traumatized, and there were still missing and the rest were unlucky to survive. We may not know what their missions behind traveling during that time were. But whatever it was, we all know that they have their own purposes and maybe some of them have traveled that time for their dreams that they want to pursue. It was so sad to see them in tears and sorrow even we just saw them through television.
A month of August has been so stressful for our government. Well, a case of Janet Lim Napoles would not be able to escape. It takes a lot of time for the authority to determine and investigate whoever is involved in the pork barrel scam. The call for abolishing pork barrel and for abolishing PDAF happened with in the month of August. A lot of statements had been collected from those persons involved and those individuals who have the information that would prove the said scam. They kept on denying the obvious fact that they did. Yeah, even her daughter, Jeane Napoles was investigated about the issue. But at last, before month of August ends, the brain of the pork barrel scam, business woman Janet Lim Napoles, surrendered herself to our President Aquino.
See? Last month was so depressing. After the hit of typhoons in our country, more Filipinos suffer from being so helpless and the only choice they have is to start all over again. Yet, some of our government leaders were enjoying the share they got from the pork barrel which also includes the money of the Filipino people. It was so sad to say, but for some times, we have to accept the fact that life is unfair when it comes to this matter.
Most of us welcome the entrance of the September month and at the same time, we’re hoping for the not so instant progress but a sure one. Like, the case of Napoles, Filipinos were hoping and were expecting her to be the state witness for the said scam. It would be a great help for the Filipinos and for the authority to determine who the people behind the allegation were and who make themselves comfortable with their lives while we are in crisis. May this month, everyone and everything will receive justice and peace!
