Former president and now reelectionist Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada formally endorses Senator Grace Poe as his presidential bet and Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr as his vice president for the May 2016 national elections at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila, March 28.

After months of speculations, Estrada on Monday night proclaimed his support to Poe, the daughter of his late best friend Fernando Poe Jr (FPJ) over his another friend and political ally Vice President Jejomar Binay in 2010.

Erap was among the supporters that showed up when Bongbong Marcos launched his vice presidential bid last October 2015.

Estrada also names the senatorial candidates he is supporting, a combinations of of administration, opposition, and independent candidates:
  • Former Tesda chief Joel Villanueva, Liberal Party
  • Former Senator Panfilo Lacson, Independent but a guest of LP
  • Sarangani Representative Manny Pacquiao, United Nationalist Alliance
  • Leyte Representative Martin Romualdez, United Nationalist Alliance
  • Former Special Action Force chair Getulio Napeñas, United Nationalist Alliance
  • Vice Mayor Isko Moreno, Partido Galing at Puso
  • Bayan Muna Representative Neri Colmenares, Partido Galing at Puso
  • Valenzuela Representative Sherwin Gatchalian, Partido Galing at Puso
  • Richard Gordon, Partido Galing at Puso
  • Juan Miguel Zubiri, Partido Galing at Puso
  • Reelectionist Senator Sergio "Serge" Osmeña III
  • Former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino, Independent
Estrada is running under the banner of his own party, the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino against Liberal Party's Alfredo Lim and 5th District Representative Amado Bagatsing.
