Exactly 10 days before the mega fight "Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather Jr. adviser Leonard Ellerbe announced the prize contemplated by Mayweather for his fight againts super welterweight champion Canelo Alvarez. According to Ellerbe, $ 41.5 million or P1.8 billion for one-night fight purse of Mayweather on September 15. He also said that Mayweather deserves such a prize becuase Mayweather is the best athlete right now.

Golden Boy Promotions promoter Richard Schaefer believed that this multi-million dollar prize for Mayweather will increase through the pay-per-view sales. Alvarez side will earn  maximal $ 12.5 million.
